The Beginning Of Everything

I wanted to create this blog because I have a passion for software development.

My blog will be about all the aspects of creating software, for me this includes everything from source code, to automated tests, to tools, to development processes.

Since this blog will be about software development it felt obvious that I should develop it myself. Yes, I know that there are a lot of good blog engines out there, but to begin with I will build it myself. I also know that I will never create a blog engine that is as complex as the best once. Maybe I will switch to one of the existing blog engines later on, but I will start my blogging with my homemade one. One other reason for me to building the engine myself is that I would like to learn more about HTML5 and media queries. If you really want to learn something, a good way is to get your hands dirty with the thing that you want to learn.

Don't be confused by the fact that the first blog posts will all be about web technologies it's just because I'm starting to build my own blog and along the way I will share my thoughts and best practices. My blog will contain posts about all types of software technologies in the future.
